I Suck at Marketing!

Yes it’s true, I may be great at sales but I’m horrible at marketing!

Last week I met a door-to-door rep who just finished his first summer knocking and he couldn’t stop talking about how Door-to-Door Millionaire was paramount to his success.

In fact, he said on more than one occasion when he wasn’t having success in the field, he’d go back to his car, read my book, and then say exactly what I had written to his next potential customer.

Well, as you can imagine, he oftentimes sold the next person he talked to and was forever convinced that what I taught was magic!

Crazy enough, this isn’t the first time a rep has said this to me, in fact I hear this a lot!

Purpose

Here’s the thing, I wrote Door-to-Door Millionaire for this is the exact reason! I love helping d2d reps sell more accounts the right way!

As I continued talking with this rep I knew he was a big fan after he repeated several obscure details from my book including how many accounts I sold my rookie year and the number of my favorite football player.

So, you can imagine my surprise when I asked him what he thought about my second book and all I received in return was a blank stare.

Then, after gathering his thoughts he said, “I had no idea you wrote a second book!”

Door-to-Door Millionaire Series

Well, crazy enough, this isn’t the first time a rep has said this to me!

Do I Really Suck at Marketing?

If you’ve been in door-to-door sales, it’s highly likely you’ve heard of Door-to-Door Millionaire. I know this because of the hundreds of copies that are sold every month.

However, it’s just as likely that you’ve never heard of MORE Door-to-Door Millionaire, based on the tens of copies that are sold every month.

MORE

I wrote MORE Door-to-Door Millionaire for reps who want to take their d2d sales game to the next level.

This book examines effective knocking strategies, switchover techniques, and other tactics I use to sell a high percentage of prospects on the doors.

Maybe the lack of awareness of this book is because reps don’t get past the first level of door-to-door sales, so why would they want to read a book about the next level?

Or maybe it’s because the title doesn’t really distinguish the second book from the first one?

Or could it be that the book covers look similar?

It’s probably a combination of all of these things and MORE (pun intended)!

So maybe you can help me out!

As a first step, I’m thinking about using the image below as a new book cover for MORE Door-to-Door Millionaire, what do you think?
